Theres alot of talk about a new wotr starter pack to replace MoM.
But theres alot of armies in desperate need of new modles.

What does everyone else think wotr and sbg needs next?

Plastic Cavalry, Plastic infantry(including archers, swordsmen, and spearmen) and a new command set. Also anything other related to the elves!!

I love elves

More elites poses for rohan. eg sons of eorl, royal guard
Plastic Arnor warriors
Uruk-hai box set with 24 models instead of 20, like other plastic boxes so that you can get 3 companies instead of two and a half.

I would like to see plastic Dunlending warriors foot and mounted also Plastic Rohan Royal Guard.

I'd love a plastic Feifdoms set; 8 Knights of Dol Amroth, 8 Axemen of Lossarnach, and 8 Clansmen of Lamedon.

That would be a useful set.

I would like to see a new set of plastic orcs. I think the plastic Moria orc set is the worst set in the LOTR line. The 2th age Elves and Men box needs to be updated badly.

I am not going to wait around to see what decisions are made for the Hobbit. I am going kit bash my own from ancient armies. If two are three years down the road my lakemen don't match the movies they can go back to being Vikings and Ancient Britons.

Before anything else, I think they should release plastic sets for any army which does not already have a plastic core troop, such as Dunland, Khand, and Numanor. Without doing this, very few people will be able to afford entire armies of these troops.

Yeah, I bet it would sell pretty well. It would also persuade people to buy the Men-at-Arms.

I agree I only bought enough for the SBG . I do not expect I will buy enough for WOTR unless they come out in plastic.

Plastic high elves and Numenor (as separate kits with the proper configuration) and Arnor warriors would be my fav, especially if there was cavalry. But I'd also buy plastic fiefdoms. I'd also love some elite high elves...either rangers with 2 shots or warriors with 2 attacks.

I agree They really need a update. However, I do not have a problem with the way they look. The plastic Moria orcs are just substandard.

Hmm, my view is completely opposite. I have waited since the beginnning of the game good quality metal high elves. Almost all of the the plastic sets have been disappointments for me and I like the metal models. I play mostly small skirmish games and care more about the quality of individual models than the price of huge armies. Whenever GW has done a plastic set of some models, I have rushed to get the previous metal models before they are completely out of 'print' and available nowhere.

Yeah, I'm sure if many of us had the money we'd buy all-metal armies/collections. Metals are so much more fun to paint!

Yes, since I play quite small games and no WotR at all, I rather take two blisters of metal warriors than a box of plastic ones for approximately same price.

I think that's generally because we have metals in much smaller amounts than normal warriors so they make a nice change. Also, most metals are elites so they are naturally more fun to paint. But tbh, I wouldn't particuarly enjoy painting a metal orc than a normal orc as they paint chips off so much more easily on metals.
