Yeah I'm the biggest advocate of not having a million poses but these look good and furthermore I mean.....come on we have like ten aragorns 37 gandalfs 6-8 leoglas and gimlis we can at least give 3-4 poses to the company who is the main part of three movies.

The releases for the first couple of weeks of February have been leaked online. No Hobbit stuff on the 1st or the 8th.

Roll on the 15th....

Hmm, such a shame!

Oh well, just hoping they're going to release Thorin's company someday, I love those poses..

'Sigh' and me interest in Hobbit/LotR SBG for this year wanes again... as the hobby butterfly floats over to the Northstar Kung Fu miniatures or more apemen from the Crooked Dice sale.

Only 2 months since the film came out, and already they're not releasing stuff ... that's slightly disappointing.

It's a bit early to be getting deflated. As I understand it, the idea behind the new WD is that they release stuff throughout the month as opposed to releasing it all on the first Saturday. So even though there's nothing announced yet, there may well still be releases/announcements on the 15th, 22nd and 29th.

Not sure how I feel about the new model to be honest, on the one hand you have more to look forward to each week but it's also harder to budget for each month when you can't see the whole month's releases and plan ahead.

They're releasing weekly for models instead of monthly? Somehow I missed that announcement.

Yep, the weekly White Dwarf will announce the models to be released the following Saturday and not reveal the whole month's plans. Quite how the monthly Warhammer Visions will deal with this I'm not sure.

To give you some idea, both mags come out this Saturday (1st) and the first weekly mag focusses on dwarves, there are 2 characters and one box of warriors to be released on the 8th. Obviously there will be more dwarf releases throughout the month (like the army book) but they will be announced week by week so Hobbit bits and bobs could come out at any time.

I'm not that fussed- I have enough to tempt me to spend money as it is! I have two unpainted metal eagles, and yet the box of plastic ones are STILL calling to me!

Fully agree, the more spread out the releases the easier it is to budget for them.
The plastic Eagles are stunning!

Gives me a couple of weeks to finish off the metals I bought. Still got a backlog - must've hit a lull in my painting. Probably something of a burnout due to the rate I'd been plowing through old models. Doesn't help that I wasn't painting them because i wanted them immediately, but because if i didn't then i might not have got another chance. Also, January is a hell month when it comes to toy collecting (my other expensive hobby), even with a birthday i was short of cash for everything, so the minis had to wait a bit.

I'll get back on track when they release the gundabads, since i want a dozen of them for Azog to lead.

Wasn't sure where to post this, I think the embargo on showing images of Smaug in full will finish on 27th March as the new book on the making of Smaug is released then

http://www.wetanz.com/smaug-unleashing-the-dragon/

Yes, i know certain images are released already, the NZ aeroplane and a few pictures in the books already released but this could trigger model releases.

Well, as it seems, confirmed by the week-one one-click collection, the releases will be weekly: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... od2380271a

So will the preorders be up this Saturday or the one after? I'm a little confused.

From what I understand, WFB get another wave of Dwarfs next week, because they've still to get their Army Book.

Presumably that gives us week 3 or 4

Let's hope the reason for the delay is that GW has heard our pleas, and making the Gundabad dudes plastic!

Or maybe they feel one-click warhammer collections are more important... :(

Why does it list WD Weekly 3? Surely it's only the second issue?

Unless visions counts I suppose.
