Just realised I hadn't dropped in on this thread for a few months and there had been quite a few more posts!

Thanks so much for all the great feedback guys, it's really great to hear you're enjoying the magazine and it's great motivation to keep working on Issue 2.

Issue 2 is progressing nicely, we've got nearly all of the articles written up and they're being laid out as we speak. The last missing piece is the Battle Report which we're looking to play-out one weekend in March. Assuming all goes well I would expect issue 2 to be released at some point in May, we're really excited about it and I can confidently say that it is going to be better than the first one!

Incidentally, if you enjoyed the new scenario and the bat-rep in Issue 1 then check out this video by Mid-Sussex Wargamers where they play it out, they give it a really good go and it goes right down to the wire!

Out of interest, do you take article/content submissions? I have a few tacticas I plan to write up, and would be more than happy to submit them if you want some content for future issues.

Thanks for the interest and the offer! We've been absolutely inundated with offers for articles and help and it's great to see so many passionate hobbyists who want to contribute! The reality is that 48 pages really isn't all that much and there's relatively little space in each issue. Going forward we're trying to build each issue around a certain theme and so we're reaching out to those hobbyists that we know have armies/experiences that fit within each issue's theme. We've actually got issue 2 and 3 blocked out already so won't be needing anything else for the foreseeable future. However, if you wanted to write to us with an idea then we'll certainly consider it and see if we can fit it in at some point in the future, we just can't make any promises.

I hope that helps and thanks again for all the support.

Cheers guys

Fair enough, if I get the articles typed up I'll send them to you, and you can use them as and when you like.

Thanks again for the hard work!

The SBG Magazine is awesome! Thank you all for all the hard work and effort. Really enjoyed it! Nice setup. We are looking forward to it being a great part of our hobby!

There used to be so little magazine content for LotR since GW gave it secondary importance. But thanks to you we have the SBG, and its great! :D We also read Der Skirmisher, but it's in German.

I also loved the magazine. What a beautiful, useful piece. You guys should be so proud of yourselves.

I would like to contribute as well; probably in the terrain building 101 section. I'd love to see a perspective written by a female wargamer/hobbyist in a future issue.

Hi all!

Thanks as always for all the kind comments, it's great to hear people are still finding the magazine and enjoying it.

I am both happy and relieved to say that Issue 2 was finsihed about 10 minutes ago! I see that back at the start of February I predicted that Issue 2 would be released sometime in May and I'm delighted to say that we've come in ahead of schedule and will be releaisng it at the end of April!

The physical magazine will be exclusively available at The Desolation of Stockport tournament on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April. From Monday 27th April onwards we will start to post out physical copies to anyone who donates towards the project but couldn't make it to the tournament.

The free PDF will go online on June 1st, we're going to keep it exclusive to the physical copy for the first month as our way of thanking eveyrone who got behind the project and donated to get a physical copy.

I can honestly say that Issue 2 is better than Issue 1 in every single way and, if you liked Issue 1 then I think you'll love Issue 2. Just to whet your appetite and hopefully get you excited I've posted the cover for Issue 2 below - we hope you like it!

Thanks again and we hope you enjoy the next issue!

Hi guys, thanks for all the great comments and to all those who have donated already. Cheers also to Southy for helping us out above with the donation details - he's spot on!

Well, I'm very happy to say that Issue 2 is now available in physical form! We're really happy with it, we think it's much better than Issue 1 and the response from people who've read it has been great!

The free PDF will indeed be online form Monday June 1st, in the meantime, if you would like a physical copy of Issue 2 then please donate using the details above and we'll get one sent out to you ASAP.

Here's our Issue 2 launch video which includes full details of how to get a copy, a run-down of what's inside and details if this issue's competition.

Thanks for the support guys!

Just ran across this thread and downloaded the first issue. What a great idea, its so wonderful to have some new material about my favorite game to read! I have not read the whole issue from "cover to cover" yet, but I'm very impressed with the quality of the production. I've seen plenty of hobby "fanzines" in the past and this is right up there with the best of them. KUTGW and I'll be looking forward to your second issue.

Looks like the PDF-release has been delayed a bit.
