The only thing I dislike about that "Dain" impostor above is his raised arm. Something about his wrist guard and elbow area looks slightly off. Like the guard is too big and his arm too skinny. Or maybe it's just the angle. I would still get him, especially if metal and not resin.

That's one thing I've found with pretty much every sculpt I've seen on here (sorry guys, you are SO much better than anything I could possibly do), there always seems to be one little detail that bugs me to no end. "Dane's" arm up there is one of them.

Should we be sorry? We're potential clients, and vendors must know that they'll always be criticized and can't take it personally.

As for Dain, maybe the raised arm could be a turn off or not so much for some. But one thing is for sure, a BotFA Dain is better than no Dain. This sculpt, even if I think there's a flaw, is better imo than the lotr Dain which is a close replica of the Lotr Balin. The mounted version looks awesome as well and has his helmet. Question is what will be the price now?

I would like to see these guys make an armoured Azog and an updated armoured Bolg along with all the other things missing from BotFA, including the stuff that didn't make it into the theatrical cut such as the rams and ballistas, etc.

EDIT: Hmm it's resin, so now depends the price or else I'll wait until winter for GW to see if they'll come up with anything.

I'm not *against* small companies. I'm all for the little guys. I just want a larger, reputable business to sell them, much as businesses already do for GW minis and lots of 3rd party D&D products. I like this because I find little treasures I wouldn't otherwise see and I can save on shipping.

I just re-activated my Facebook for the sole purpose of trying to order these, but the link page for how to order is a closed group which I cannot seem to be able to join. Can anyone please help a forum newbie with a method of contacting Unreleased Miniatures? I have a very definite need for these models!

honestly, I looked and I found the models expensive. More expensive then the Eagle box or Beorn, so more expensive then the usual price GW has on the blister with a Foot and a Mounted model. Forlong on horse is as expensive as the Warriors of Erebor box.
That killed my enthusiasm. I mean, I look to smaller companies and ebay to pay something less. If I have to pay even more then the GW's standard, then I'd stick with my converted dwarf warrior.

Yeah, I saw it, wasn't impressed by two things; the price and the material used. Also the fact that I had to hunt down the sale post on the trade group because the price wasn't stated on their Fb page. I like Dain but no.

I picked up the Mounted Dain from Ridgeback Miniatures in metal. Really nice sculpt and fun to paint up. Was only 15.45 euro posted to Australia so very reasonable.
I also have the Unreleased Miniatures 'Random Dwarf Lord' ordered and looking forward to receiving him. The price for Australian's was very acceptable at AU$64 seeing as the new BoFA heroes on foot and mounted are sold at AU$80. Only for a Dain model, I would pay this so I was very happy with the price point!

The "Bismark" is a beautiful model, I just missed out on the first wave of the dwarf, and made of good solid resin with very little work needed to put together and prime for painting. All good points as far as I'm concerned!
