Just wondering if the WD is worth picking up for the Hobbit content? How many pages of non 40k/WHF do you actually get?

There's a scenario, but no real special conditions. Participants are exactly as the film plays out. They include the rules for all the new models too, but they're in the free BoFA suppliment if you have it. And a page or two of pictures of the new models.

I'm going form memory but there's about 8 pages of Hobbit stuff in the issue. It won't blow your mind but the scenario's cool and it's the best Hobbit content we've had since the Beorn issue and, IMO, will likely be the last for a very long time. It's £2.40 and a nice distraction for an hour. I'd recommend it.

In Australia, it's $6.00 for a physical copy or $5.99 for a digital download. For 2 pages of scenario and reprinted stats and catalogue stuff I think I'll pass...

Thanks for the information though.

Off the top of my head there was release pictures etc. of the Gundabads and Beorn, a two page tactics article for Beorn and the Barrels out of Bond bat-rep. Oh and the Gundabad spear revision. May have been some other bits too.

It was a decent enough article as memory serves but hardly ground-breaking, nothing you wouldn't get on here if you asked for Beorn's strengths/weaknesses etc. I'll try and dig out the White Dwarf, it's a Weekly around April/May last year I think.

Not sure where 216 comes from, I'm now pretty sure it's White Dwarf Weekly #8 from March. Available here:

http://www.blacklibrary.com/whitedwarf/ ... sue-8.html

As for whether it's worth buying, see my comment above, its £2.50 and a pleasant way to spend an hour or so but it won't change your life.

Thank you for the link. I just thought that you were talking about the release of DoS, which included Beorn without the bear.

Well, that's what we've got the SBG magazine for, right?

Nope, theres nothing in this week's WD. As soon as there is any news on anymore releases you won't have to ask, the forum's will be buzzing with the rumours. Fingers crossed.

@Coenus - Ha, must've missed that post somehow! Cheers buddy, SBG won't change your life but it might just change your afternoon! :-) Issue 2 is coming along nicely, we're really excited about the content, it's definitely gonna be better than the first one!
