I posted the pond in my work in progress. The bottom was primed black then over brushed with very dark brown and then sealed with minwax-walnut .I used a product called still water. Some people use blue if the water is out side. This one is going to be in a cave. http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae...

I really like it so far. The sword looks a little big. Professional sculptors use pre-cast weapons when they work on a new figure be cause they are really hard to do. Bake it and lets see how it turns out.

Oh-sorry the plastic will melt

battle-winning spell casters! Good point. Less or more would make a very good discussion it self. Oh thanks for the tip on the laminated wood. I did not think to use it because some of them are so costly. The railroad hobby shop had some super thin plywood. And I found a iron on strip at the hardwa...

I agree with Whafrog about the "Tolkien flavor" being taken out of WotR, and that is the primary reason I choose to play only SBG.

How and Why?
I would like to know what Whafrog thinks as well.

Do most people play WOTR or SBG? I can't answer what most people do because I am the only one in by group that plays either. WOTR appeals because I already have large army's. TWOTRSB is a outstanding system it works equally well with cowboys, pirates, and larger games like the Alamo. http://i980.ph...

l say O_O. How much time do they spend on that?!

Drying time will depend on how detailed and how many textures and colors you use.The final spray over should dry over night.

The more detail you put on a playing surface the faster it will wear out.

I have to purchase some balsa strips for the wood work for the hobbit house so I was finishing up some other buildings. I was trying to come up with ideas on a watermill. Would Hobbits use a wind mill? http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae283/CRTraylor3499/miniature%20photos/work%20in%20progress/th_...

The stuff I have is to thick to bend around the curve. Kevin sent me a U-tube link with a good idea for windows. I will have to stop ...

I think it turned out well. The clay dragon turned out well too. You are good with the clay Why don't you make a small base for one of the statues. If you make it a separate piece then you could use it as part of the dragon hoard or in a grave yard. You could put it in the pond sometimes and make it...

My treasure is Painted D&D models. Metallic paint over black primer with varnish that has glitter in it already. I found the varnish in a craft store. Your pond looks very nice. The old figures will make very nice statues. A friend of mine makes statues from old toys. I used an old plastic Harry...

Looks good! You may want to fill in some of the gaps I had quite a bit of tear-out in the pine. I should have used MDFB for the whole thing. I will use wood filler for the gaps when I glue it to the base. I may have more gaps when I do the windows. They wont fit as well because I had to use a drum ...
